The KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait System is approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and is United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program Food Crop Compliant.

Used By Professional Pest Companies, Growers, Aviaries, Zoos, and More!  This patented and extremely effective liquid ant feeding system kills and gets rid of Argentine, Ghost, Crazy, White-footed, Carpenter, Pharaoh, and other exotic and invasive ants with ease! Also kills cockroaches and other insect pests. The KM Ant Pro dispenses a liquid bait (sold separately) that gives ants and insects what they want - a sweet nectar-based food source that mimics honeydew secreted by aphids and commonly found on plants and flowers. This bait also contains a mild toxin that is carried back to the queens and the colony. The KM AntPro® Liquid Bait System gives ants an unlimited supply of bait in a durable outdoor station that kills the workers and the Queens.

KM AntPro® placed around the home or building is like having your own natural defense against ants. It eliminates the need for toxic sprays, is target-specific, and is safe for the environment. KM Ant Pro® and Greenway Liquid Ant Bait have been tested and endorsed by the University of California Statewide Extension and are recommended by California Master Gardeners to the general public.

How It Works:
KM AntPro® is a highly durable, rugged outdoor liquid bait station that provides consistent long-term ant and insect control.  When the KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait Dispenser is filled with liquid bait and activated, a small quantity of bait is released into a feeding pool at the base. As the ants consume the bait, the reservoir refills the feeding pool automatically. The KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait feeding tray provides insects 360° access to the feeding pool. The vacuum gravity feed reservoir provides enough bait to feed several ant colonies over a long period of time. Also, numerous species of ants and insects will feed at the stations at the same time.

The KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait Dispenser is weather-tolerant and tamper-resistant. It comes with an attachable stake that fits snugly on the base to secure it to the ground.

In agricultural and garden applications, large areas can be treated with KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait Stations without having to spread pesticides on crops and pastures where livestock live and graze. Orchards and harvesting areas are safer for workers and food is not contaminated by insecticides. In agricultural applications, the cost of control for imported fire ants, Argentine ants, white-footed ants, and many other species is significantly reduced. Simply place the KM Ant Pro Station where it is needed, next to plants and along crop rows, and let it do its job.

KM AntPro® is refillable and will provide years of dependable service when maintained correctly.

Kills Ants in and Around Homes and Gardens:
KM AntPro® will eliminate ants and other insects from around the premises, in gardens, and other pesticide-sensitive areas and provide a barrier to re-infestation. The KM Ant Pro Liquid Bait stations will destroy ant colonies, since they are exceptionally durable, can be refilled, and used over an extended period of time.

How To Use:
The KM Ant Pro Ant Bait Dispenser combined with Greenway Liquid Ant Bait is designed to replace ants' natural feeding sources. Ants will feed on plant juices, honeydew, insects, etc. from many outdoor sources. The recommended minimum number of KM Ant Pro stations is 1 per side of the structure or 1 station for every 2500 square feet of open space. 4 KM Ant Pro dispensers are recommended for homes under 2,000 square feet, 6 KM Ant Pros for homes up to 4,000 square feet, and 1 additional KM Ant Pro station for every 1,000 square feet thereafter.

Hi Ron, I live at the edge of woods, so lots of crawlies. Discovered carpenter ants, tried at least 12 types of baits, finally found your site and got the KM liquid baits. After a few months with no change (ants and frass every day!) I spoke to someone in your office who had me move them slightly. Waited three more months and finally (thank GOD!) ants stopped.

Now, four weeks with zero ants (not a single one) and today I've seen five, three of which crawled over my feet. Ick.

Does something need to change for summer?

The baits are in shade about four feet from the house. I have two, one at each end (it's a tiny house, so only 28 feet by 8.5). Do I need another one? If so, it will be in full sun most of the day, which is why I didn't put any there.

I also have the Advance granules, something I tried before getting the baits. Was putting it inside the walls every three days, but saw no change.

Thanks SO MUCH for your help to preseve my sweet house, which is only two years old, and being so small, I need to stop them from chewing the whole thing down!

Warmly,
Sharon See more »

We moved into our Port Saint Lucie Florida home(2006 concrete block construction/stucco build) two months ago. A vacant foreclosed home. In the evening, at dark, we began finding carpenter ants coming out of the walls. Some had wings and flew. We used some baits & Terro which may have helped?? But when seeing your products we ordered the KM ant stations & gourmet feed. We waited a few weeks to let the others stuff disappear. Then two or three days ago, we set out your filled bait stations, outside, around the house. Evening ant activity has exploded inside to worse than ever. We wondered if this is to be expected or not. We had the light on in our bathroom last night and must have had 50-100 ants crawling around on the floor and walls. They are drawn to light it seems. I suspect there is a lot of nesting in the walls, but I know of no wet areas. Will things work out in time or is there something else to do? Things had calmed down until we set your traps outside (coincidental?). Help! Thank you much!! See more »

The KM Ant Pro Bait stations (dispensers) are not traps. They don't trap ants at all. They provide a natural feeding alternative or solution for the ants.

Live in Northern Idaho. Carpenter ants can only be seen traveling across telephone wire I am guessing they are entering where those wires come in to house but we don't have a problem on the interior...see an occassional scout. My question is can this be placed at a slant on roof or would you recommend building a platform for the base station? And in terms of the guarantee would you say I would see a signigicant change in traffic on the telephone wire within 30 days? Again the only traffic I see is on the telephone wire, the line does cross through a large pine tree and the telephone pole is about 200-300 feet from the house. See more »

The KM Ant Pro Dispensers are not recommended for use above ground level. They also have to be placed flat, and not on any angle, otherwise, there is the possiblity of the bait leaking out.

The KM Ant Pro System basically works by replacing the ants natural food sources. This is generally plant related. Even though the ants are on the wire, they are only using it to access the house. Getting them to feed that high up is difficult, and you can't force feed them. The dispensers are basically placed in random locations hoping that the ants will find them… See full answer »

The Greenway bait is a 1% boric acid based solution. It has the toxicity of table salt. I have never had a report of harm to pets or animals over the 20 years we have been selling it.

If Raccooons are stealing these or turning them over, they need to be secured to the ground with a stake through the base or screwing it to a large board, etc. If you need some ideas, let me know.

There really is no such thing as a carpenter ant trap, or any ant trap for that matter. The KM Ant Pro Ant Bait Stations are a liquid ant bait "dispenser". They make the liquid ant bait available to the ants and are not affected by rain, weather, etc.

Don't get glue boards and other insect type "traps" confused with baits. The baits don't "trap" the ants, only provide a food source that kills them.

As far as carpenter ants go, they feed on aphids, scale, mealybugs, plant juices and other "natural" food sources which are always found outdoors. Baiting… See full answer »

I recently purchased the km ant pro and ant gel so far the ant gel is being very much ignored, I placed it five feet from where they come out, I placed them in baby Gerber glass jars with hole on lid they do go in the jar but they come right back out and don’t take the bait as if they know what it is.

As for the km ant pro I live in Palmdale CA and the weather is cold here and will stay cold for some time so I placed the ant pro station in the garage but even the garage is to cold and ants seem to stay in the house, I think the nest must be under the house because I never see them marching away the house they always go into some crack between the tile and wall but nothing outside the home, could I place the km ant pro in the home? My wife has had it with ants lurking and searching everywhere in the house she doesn’t understand why we have ants, we are clean freaks yet we have ants

Ant baits require the worker or scout ants to first find the bait, then lay down a "pheromone trail" which recruits and attracts other ants. Its not like going fishing where the fish find the bait, get hooked, etc.

The worker ants are instructed to feed by the scout ants. Generally when the worker ants feed at the dispensers and then quit, it is because they have found a more suitable food source. That's it. If the KM Ant Pro dispensers are in direct sunlight and not in shade, that is a problem. They bait is too hot. If they are not sitting in an area where the ants would normally feed, that is a problem. What these dispensers do is to provide a food source for the ants that is preferable to existing food sources. If the existing food sources are very abundant, then it may take some time before the ants deplete that food source and start looking for new food sources such as the KM Ant Pros. Sometimes this takes a change of season. You can't fool mother nature with a factory made bait.

No, there are no systemic insecticides labeled for use on fruit or nut bearing trees. The reason is that the insecticide would end up in trace quantities inside of the fruit or nuts and then would be consumed.

Depending on the species of ants, there are other suitable controls available such as the KM Ant Pro System. Here is the link - http://www.epestsupply.com/cgi-bin/sh...

Carpenter ants are mother natures way of aggravating us. Especially if you live in a wooded area. They are as common as houseflies, and can be found practically anywhere there is wood, moisture, decay, etc. They don't eat the wood, they just nest in it.

When using the KM Ant Pro system, and Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait, you are giving the ants an "alternative" food source. One that they will hopefully find attractive and prefer over their already existing food sources such as aphids, mealybugs, scales, etc.

The active ingredient in the Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait is a form of boric acid which is about as toxic as table salt. If a dog were to lick up the bait, a few licks probably would not hurt it. If a bear were to try to drink the bait, then my opinion is that due to the small amount of bait, and the fact that it is such a low percentage (1% or less), there would be no harm. Bottom line, this product SHOULD NOT cause any problems and we have not had any reports of injury to animals in the 11 years that we have been selling them.

Where To Place KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait Dispensers:
Place KM Ant Pro Stations under shrubs, near trees, in gardens and other areas where ants will normally feed. It is very important to place the stations in SHADED areas and not in direct sunlight. If no shade is available, then make a shaded area by using a large bucket or trash container and placing it over the station. Once feeding starts, control usually begins in 30 days.

How To Activate and Use KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait Station:
See installation and operation guide for more detailed instructions
While holding the top unit (bulb) upside down, fill it 1/2 full (16 oz) with liquid bait, attach the base and hand tighten until snug. The KM Ant Pro is now in the closed position. Turn the entire station right side up, set in place, then rotate the bulb one half turn in the opposite direction while holding the base in place. This activates the unit. Tighten the set screw firmly. If desired, insert the holding stake into the bottom of the base. Place KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait Kit anywhere in a shaded area that ants are active. Do not place units in direct sunlight. Do not install units where damage from animals, dogs or pets may occur. Do not use KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait Kit indoors. Replace liquid ant bait when KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait Kit is empty or every 90 days, whichever comes first.

How To Deactivate KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait Station:
Loosen the set screw and rotate the bulb back to the closed position. Turn the station upside down and unscrew the bulb. Replace the bait and repeat the steps for activation. Set the unit in the new location, turn it the opposite direction and align the arrows to re-activate. Tighten the set screw.

How Much Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait To Use:
The KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait dispenser is designed to hold up to 1 quart of liquid ant bait. For most ant populations, using as little as 1 pint (16 oz) of liquid ant bait per dispenser is recommended. Studies show that 1 pint of liquid ant bait will feed up to 220,000 ants. Make sure that when you fill the KM Ant Pro stations, your hands are clean and there are no residues from gasoline, oil, cigarette smoke, etc. Replace the bait every 90 days for best results and long term control.

When To Replace Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait:
Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait is the number 1 bait tested and recommended for use with the KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait Dispensers. It is a food grade bait that contains natural enzymes, carbohydrates and ingredients that attract and recruit ants to feed. For best long term results, replace the Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait every 90 days. In late fall or winter, simply deactivate the stations and wash with regular tap water (no soap) and dry. Replace the Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait and re-activate the KM Ant Pro stations in early spring for season long control. Be sure to replace the Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait (available in quarts and gallons) every 90 days.
