Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules

Control the most common pests in your lawn and garden areas with Bifen LP Granules (LP stands for lawn and perimeter). Bifen Granules are broadcast using a hand or cart spreader, and remain effective for 2-4 months, supplying effective, long-term protection against insect pests around your home and business. Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules Uses / Applications:
USE: Bifen LP Granular is generally used in two ways: It can be applied as a perimeter barrier directed in a five to ten foot band around your home, or it can be generally broadcast over your entire yard including landscaped areas. A normal application usually consists of three to five pounds of product. We recommend applying Bifen granules with an Earthway spreader. One 25lb. bag of Bifen covers 5,000-10,000 square feet. Always read the label.

DESCRIPTION: Bifen LP Granules and Talstar PL Granules are used to control Ants (including Imported Fire Ants), roaches, spiders, fleas, ticks, worms, crickets, and almost all other insect pests on lawns, in landscaped areas and gardens, and perimeters of residential, institutional, public, commercial and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas and athletic fields. Bifen granules release chemical over time as it rains. One application of Bifen granules can protect your lawn areas for 2 to 3 months. It is safe against non-target animals such as birds, pets, and other mammals.

Bifen I/T can be used indoors as a crack and crevice treatment and outdoors as a perimeter application or broadcast. The label contains specific instructions for treating for termites and the application techniques used.

We have black widows and some other spiders in our yard, on the fence, and in our window wells. I did not see Bifen list spiders on its label. I also want to make sure it is safe to use in the yard where my children play. Is there another product that would work better? See more »

The best product to use for spiders is Onslaught Fastcap. Bifen will kill spiders if you spray on contact, but if they crawl across a treated surface it will not kill them.

Onslaught Fastcap is made specifically for spider control but controls lots of pests.

Bifen IT will kill adult flies but is not an instant kill. Bifen Granules are designed for soil and lawn insects. Granules would have no effect on adult flies in most cases.

Getting rid of flies means finding the breeding source, eliminating moisture and breeding sources, and then using all available means to control the adult population. Bifen alone will not do this. You can read more about how to kill flies here - http://www.epestsupply.com/flies.php

Bifen Granules can be applied anytime of year. There is no specific treatment window. Most pest control companies use these granules every month of the year. Even during the winter. For best results re-apply every 60-90 days.

No. Bifen LP is lawn granular insecticide. It is designed to kill lawn pests and has no specific termite uses.

Watering daily is going to have a negative impact on the chemical you use whether it is granules or liquid. The water is basically going to dilute the spray. For best effects, water 1-2 times per week after application. This is not enough to help seedlings along, so you may have to live with the ants until the grass is established.

Bifen LP is good product for controlling most species of ants. Spread it out according to the label directions using a good spreader.

The other option is to use Bifen I/T and spray it on the lawn. Use 1 oz of concentrate per gallon of water per 1,000 square feet.

“Easy to see all information needed for this product.
'We were having an explosion of red and black wasp with even some hornets this year.
After calling an exterminator to come help, we had the same amount of wasp only now they were MAD!
Several years ago my husband ordered from this company and after we used it, we were almost wasp free.
The next year my husband bought the same product ...BUT went through Amazon instead of the company site.
That batch hardly made a dent and we still had a wasp problem.
I am not one that does not understand these wasp reasons to be needed for pollination for our world, but there needs to be some control so my grandchildren can come to visit and not be scared to go outside, nor I go out to mow or feed the chickens, or sit on our porch to enjoy a cup of coffee and not be in fear of getting stung 5 times and chased off my porch..
So that being said, all things in moderation, but this company has a product that will help control a huge problem if you have what I had this year.
