Premise Foam

Premise Foam

Premise Foam is the only non-repellent termiticide available in a portable instant foam. No measuring, mixing or waiting around required. Premise Foam delivers precisely formulated dry foam every time, under any conditions, to attack termite problems on the spot. Fast and easy to use. Ideal for targeted applications.

Premise Foam Features:
* Ready-to-use can means no bulky equipment needed
* No setup time or mixing concerns
* Long-lasting residue delivers long-term termite control
* Undetectable by termites
* Expands at a 30:1 ratio to thoroughly cover hard-to-reach areas such as inside termite galleries, wall voids, floor joists and more

Premise Foam Uses / Applications:
Premise Foam is a ready-to-use formulation of imidacloprid intended to kill subterranean termite species of Coptotermes, Heterotermes, Reticulitermes, and Zootermopsis. It can be used for spot treatments for the control of existing infestations of subterranean termite species and other wood-destroying insects. PREMISE Foam is a ready-to-use formulation that rapidly expands to create a high expansion ratio or "dry" foam. When applied into a termite gallery system, or into a termite-infested void, the foam expands to thoroughly cover hidden or difficult to treat areas, and contact insects hidden deep within these galleries or voids. Do not use this product as the sole source of control for active, structural infestations by subterranean termites; it is not a substitute for mechanical alteration, soil and foundation treatments. For active, structural infestations by subterranean termites, this product can only be used to supplement a soil-applied termiticide, a termite bait system, or other product registered as a sole source for termite control. This product is intended as a supplemental tool to kill subterranean termites that are found in above ground and other locations. Spot treatments with PREMISE Foam can be made, as a temporary control measure, in advance of the date when final treatment of the structure with soil and foundation treatments is completed.

Premise Foam can be applied to insect galleries in damaged wood, into spaces between wooden structural members, or into voids within the construction. Locations treated may include, but are not limited to, exposed wooden elements in crawlspaces, basements, or attics, unexposed wooden elements inside walls or other structural voids, exterior wooden elements in decks, fencing or siding, channels in damaged wood, in spaces between wooden elements of a structure, and junctions between wood and foundations. Use this product in commercial and residential structures, as well as other, non-structural wooden constructions subject to termite or wood-infesting insect attack.

Applications: The self-pressurized container dispenses PREMISE Foam at a rate of approximately 26-milliliters (approximately 0.9 fluid ounces) of liquid formulation (approximately 0.85-Liters, or 51.7 cubic inches of expanded foam) per four seconds. To minimize run-off, continue to hold the application tip firmly against the injection point for a full 5 seconds after releasing the dispenser trigger; this will allow product in the application hose to fully expand and enter the target area. This pressurized container treats 1,000 cubic inches. This product will provide foam at an expansion ratio of 30 to 1. This ratio is a function of agitation and cumulative release time.

Premise Foam Target Pests:

The product is pressurized, but can be used as needed. You do not have to use the entire can in 1 use. The nozzle is a small plastic tip. It does not self drill. You need to drill holes with a regular drill bit before application and use.

Premise Foam is applied into cracks, crevices, wall voids, etc. It is not applied to baseboards or open areas. When used according to label directions, the pets will never come into contact with it, and therefore there is no chance of harm.

However, the active ingredient - Imidachloprid, is used in several flea and tick products, many of which are applied directly to the animals. The Advantage II flea collar is used on kittens and also contains Imidachloprid.

Yes, Premise Foam will treat drywood termites, but you have to know exactly where the infestation is located. Basically you drill a small hole into the galleries or infested wood and inject the foam. This has to be performed for each piece of wood that is infested, or as many as you can locate.

Hope this helps.

How do I know where the insect 'galleries' are? All I read was to now spray or inject the insecticide into the holes
in the bamboo? See more »

There is very little odor with Premise Foam.

The problem with treating powder post beetles in furniture, and I presume that is what you are dealing with, is that they are not a "social" insect with kings or queens and there is no nest or colony. So there are no actual galleries that lead to a nest. There is no nest to be killed, the wood is just infested with premature beetles, larvae and pupae. The adult beetles do not stick around. They leave immediately after they "pupate" or emerge from their pupal casing. What you are trying to kill are actually the "worms" or larvae, and pupae. Often called "wood worms"… See full answer »

As long as it is used according to label directions and some common sense is used, there should be no problems with Premise Foam. It is designed to be used in voids, cracks, crevices, etc. My recommendation is to keep small animals and children away from the areas where it is used until you are finished and everything is dry and clean. The ingredient used in Premise Foam is also used a flea and tick solutions for pets. Hope this helps.

The nozzle is placed into a crack, crevice, hole or whereever you want to apply the foam. A button on top of the can is pushed to dispense the foam. We don't have a video on Premise foam but are working on it.

The expansion ratio is close to 50:1. It applies very similar to shaving cream.
